As technology advances, the simple car radio that only tuned stations has all but disappeared. Modern head units are full-featured companions with LED touchscreens that recommend departure times based on traffic, plot the best routes, and provide real‑time updates while you drive. They also deliver streaming content, social feeds, and other internet entertainment to keep journeys engaging.

We installed two different models in our Land Rover Discovery 4 and were impressed by how much ECU data they surface. I now have complete 360° visibility of the vehicle—4x4 and wheel monitoring, climate control, engine diagnostics—and seamless access to Siri, Google AI, and Copilot.
